John White, an American Guitarist, Producer, and Composer from Albany, NY, is renowned for his expertise in Neo-Classical, Metal, and Progressive Metal styles. He rose to prominence as a founding member of the Progressive Metal band INN3RVI5ION, contributing to the release of their LP "Escape Society" in 2017, as well as various solo instrumental projects.
Currently, John operates as an Independent Artist following his graduation with honors from The Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA.
During his tenure with INN3RVI5ION, John performed as an opening act for prominent bands such as Mushroomhead, Adrenaline Mob, and Murder Junkies, among others.
In addition to his distinctive left-handed guitar playing style with the strings completely upside down, reminiscent of Eric Gales, John is credited for his work on Michael Angelo Batio’s "Starlick’s" Book, a revised version of the original DVD Instructional Video/Book released in 1990 (copyright: Metal Method). Furthermore, he contributed to the design and editing of Mike Campese’s "The Fire Within" (copyright 2021, Mike Campese Music) released in 2024.
John's musical journey commenced at the age of 13, and he possesses a strong foundation in Classical Studies from his time at Schenectady School of Music in Schenectady, NY. Additionally, he had the privilege of learning from industry luminaries as a former student of Andy James, Reb Beach, Paul Gilbert, George Lynch, and Mike Campese.
